No. You can use blas. without signing in — your progress is saved locally on your device. Creating an account lets you sync progress across devices and protects your data if you switch phones.
Go to Settings and tap a language card under the Language section. Your progress for each language is tracked separately.
Blas uses standard learning tracks for core lessons. Irish written content follows An Caighdeán Oifigiúil; Welsh uses a common learner track; Breton uses modern standard Breton with Peurunvan spelling. Regional or dialectal forms are marked when they appear. Separate dialect course tracks are not currently available in Settings.
The whole course is free: all stages, grammar lessons, reading and listening passages, and mutation and vocabulary drilling. Premium adds smart weak-spot sessions, deep grammar explanations, writing and conversation practice, full analytics and mastery tracking, cloud sync, and a weekly AI report. Cornish and Manx are free in full.
Go to Settings and tap "Restore purchases" at the bottom of the screen. This will reconnect any previous purchase made on your Apple ID.
That depends on where you subscribed. On the web: open Settings in the app and tap Manage subscription (also under Settings → Account) — you can cancel there in a couple of clicks. On iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, find blas. and tap Cancel Subscription. On Android: open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. In every case you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Try tapping "Restore purchases" in Settings. If that does not resolve it, force-quit the app and reopen it. If you are still experiencing issues, contact us at info@blasapp.com with your Apple ID email and we will look into it.
Sign in to your account (Settings → Sign in). Once signed in, your progress syncs automatically whenever you complete a session.
Go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap "Delete account". This will permanently erase your account and all associated data from our servers within 30 days. Local data is cleared immediately. This action cannot be undone.
Yes. Go to Settings and tap "Reset all progress". This erases your learning history and returns you to Stage 1, but keeps your account intact.
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email address. We will send you a reset link.
Stages organise the mutation curriculum into progressive levels. Stage 1 covers the foundations of lenition; later stages introduce more complex triggers, mixed mutations, and edge cases. You advance through stages as your accuracy improves.
After each drill answer, the app schedules the next time you will see that rule based on how well you answered. Items you find difficult come back sooner; items you know well are spaced further out. Over time this builds durable long-term memory.
Check that your device is not on silent and that the volume is turned up. If audio still does not play, check your internet connection — pronunciations require a live connection to our text-to-speech service.
If you cannot find the answer above, email us and we will respond as soon as we can.
