These events are essential to our understanding of budgetary matters, and I would like to use this opportunity to emphasise the importance of outreach work to our committee.

The committee also recognises the importance of local knowledge and expertise being incorporated in preparedness and resilience planning.

Evidence also highlighted the importance of reviewing social inequalities and ensuring that these are more fully incorporated into preparedness and resilience processes and structures in future, and they’re covered in gaps (d) to (g).

Yet, despite its importance, we continue to see policies that actively undermine the sector, and, as a result of this, in north Wales the picture is especially concerning.
