Admission authorities must comply with legal duties under the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 and the school admissions code, including prioritising placing looked-after children.

Fel y soniwyd ar ddechrau fy nghyfraniad, awgrymodd eraill y byddai adolygiad o fformiwla Barnett yn cynyddu'r gyllideb gyffredinol heb fod angen codi trethi oherwydd y cyfyngiadau cyfreithiol ar ein pwerau codi trethi a benthyca.

As mentioned at the beginning of my contribution, others suggested that a review of the Barnett formula would increase the overall budget without the need for raising taxes due to the legal limits on our tax-raising and borrowing powers.

Nod y Bil hwn yw mynd i'r afael â hyn drwy gyflwyno gofyniad cyfreithiol i hyrwyddo a hwyluso'r defnydd o BSL yng Nghymru.

This Bill aims to address this by introducing a legal requirement to promote and facilitate the use of BSL in Wales.

Ceir consensws trawsbleidiol clir ar draws y Senedd hon y gellir gwneud llawer mwy i ddiwallu anghenion defnyddwyr BSL ac i gryfhau'r fframweithiau cyfreithiol o gwmpas darpariaethau perthnasol mewn bywyd cyhoeddus.

There's a clear cross-party consensus across this Senedd that much more can be done to cater for the needs of BSL users and to strengthen the legal frameworks around relevant provisions in public life.
