( a ) elections shall be construed as referring to Dáil elections, Seanad elections and Referenda held under this Act;

(3) Déanfar an méid den Acht so a bhaineann le Bord na gCeanntar gCumhang do léiriú mar éinní amháin le hAchtanna Bord na gCeanntar gCumhang (Éirinn) agus féadfar é do luadh i dteanta na nAcht san.

(3) So much of this Act as relates to the Congested Districts Board shall be construed as one with the Congested Districts Board (Ireland) Acts and may be cited with those Acts.

( a ) references in such to the last day for receiving nominations shall be construed as references to the second day after the date of the proclamation appointing the day on which the Seanad election is to take place;

(2) I léiriú gach achtacháin a bhaineann le cionta in ar féidir duine do phionósú ar a dhíotáil no ar a dhaora ar an slí achmair, folóidh an focal ‘duine’ cólucht corpruithe mara mbeidh a mhalairt i dtuisgint.

(2) In the construction of every enactment relating to an offence punishable on indictment or on summary conviction, the word 'person' shall, unless the contrary intention appears, include a body corporate.
