The name and address of every agent of a candidate appointed to attend the counting of the votes shall be transmitted to the returning officer one clear day at the least before the opening of the poll;

(3) Aon iarrthóir no gníomhaire toghacháin a ghníomhóidh, go feasach do féin, contrárdha don alt so, beidh sé ciontach i gcleacht nea-dhleathach.

(3) Any candidate or election agent who knowingly acts in contravention of this section shall be guilty of an illegal practice.

(2) Ach ní bheidh iarrthóir freagharthach ná ní cuirfar a thogha ar nea-mbrí mar gheall ar aon chleacht nea-dhleathach fén Acht so a dhéanfidh a ghníomhaire marab é a ghníomhaire toghacháin an gníomhaire sin.

(2) Provided that a candidate shall not be liable, nor shall his election be avoided for any illegal practice under this section committed by his agent other than his election agent.

(3) Aon chostas fé n-a raghfar mar gheall ar aon ghnó den tsórt san roimhráite agus a húdaruíodh ag gníomhaire toghacháin an iarrthóra tabharfar cuntas air go cuibhe mar chuid de chostaisí toghacháin an iarrthóra.

(3) Any expenses incurred on account of any such purpose as aforesaid and authorised by the election agent of the candidate shall be duly returned as part of the candidate's election expenses.

(2) Aon iarrthóir no gníomhaire toghacháin d'iarrthóir a bheidh ciontach go pearsanta i gcionta íoc, fostú, no cíosú do dhéanamh go nea-dhleathach, beidh sé ciontach i gcleacht neadhleathach.

(2) A candidate or an election agent of a candidate who is personally guilty of an offence of illegal payment, employment, or hiring shall be guilty of an illegal practice.
