5 Ní bheidh de ré ag aon Dáil Éireann ach seacht mbliana ó lá a céadtionóil: féadfar ré is giorra ná sin a shocrú le dlí.

5 The same Dáil Éireann shall not continue for a longer period than seven years from the date of its first meeting: a shorter period may be fixed by law.

Cimeádfa sé rún ar an marc oifigiúil, agus beidh spás nách giorra ná seacht mbliana idir gach dá uair a húsáidfear an t-aon mharc oifigiúil amháin i dtoghacháin don dáilcheanntar céanna.

He shall keep the official mark secret, and an interval of not less than seven years shall intervene between each use of the same official mark at elections for the same constituency.
